I established my garden design business in Teddington in south-west London in 2004. My maiden name was Flower, hence the name Born Flower.
I take care to tailor each design to my clients’ needs and expectations, whilst ensuring the garden is beautiful and practical. So, paths are wide enough, dining areas sufficiently generous, play spaces fun yet discreet and adaptable, and allowing room perhaps to grow some fruit and veg.
I have had an interest in plants, gardens, and architecture since childhood. Studying wildflowers as part of my Queen’s Guide Award, working as part of the team creating The Conran Shop in the Michelin Building and then obtaining a distinction in my Garden Design Diploma from Merrist Wood College, Guildford. I take inspiration from my travels and observations of my surroundings both wild and cultivated.
I am very happy to work with clients wishing to install garden studios or rooms as I feel passionately that they should be designed to sit elegantly within the garden. I am keen to discuss the design and installation of the building, assisting with planning applications (where necessary), and with the selection of suppliers and contractors, including plumbers and electricians as required.
