Teddington – Medium front and back

This client had recently completed a major rear extension to their property and needed the garden to work better with the renovated house.

So, a narrow, awkward, stepped terrace was replaced with a generous new deck providing a comfortable area for entertaining and dining.  The lawn was reshaped to provide space for lush planting and an attractive summerhouse installed to provide a private area from which to enjoy the garden.  In addition, a small natural-looking pond was built to attract wildlife, and a pergola now leads from the terrace bringing decorative planting towards the house.

The front garden needed a new wall, this was built to a height allowing for the planting to take precedence creating a welcoming approach.  Established box balls were retained and the new brick paving formed a practical but attractive pathway between them.

The whole family have become keen birdwatchers since the arrival of so much wildlife in the garden, and they are now such avid gardeners that they have installed a greenhouse.
